If these raids will work as single-player side missions or as a separate mode involving PvP (akin to Metal Gear Solid 5’s FOB mode) is unknown. There will also be a central hub ship where the player can launch raids on enemy ships and begin story missions.
The campaign has been described by Activision on their blogs as a “character-driven campaign that will span Earth and beyond our atmosphere.” It promises to include piloting a jet-fighter on Earth and in space as well as including zero-gravity infantry combat. Instead the cooperative experience will be limited to the latest form of the series hallmark Zombies mode. Speaking with VideoGamer, Activision has confirmed that Infinite Warfare’s campaign will not support co-op.
Despite the previous dabbles with co-op in the campaign mode within the series, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be single player only.
